AABY brings much needed shelter, low cost pet care, and senior pet services to the Kingwood area.
Other organizations help pets too. Unfortunately, none have shelters. Dedicted volunteers today, keep pets in their own homes until adoption. Even these pet lovers can get dog-tired, limiting the number of animals that can be helped.
The AABY Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to:
Shelter: The nearest SPCA facility is 30 miles away (or 210 in dog-miles). With a closer shelter, people will be less likely to turn unwanted pets out onto the street, and more pets will find new homes faster. The shelter will be open seven days a week for adoption.
Low Cost Pet Health Care: Free spay/neuter services help reduce the number of homeless pets. The reduction in homeless pets will help rescue groups take better care of pets that need adoption.
AABY Serving Our Seniors: There are also many seniors in our area who can no longer afford to own pets due to high pet medical care costs. AABY partners with area veterinarians who provide free or low cost care for pets of Senior citizens who can no longer manage their pet's health. Services are provided by our Partner Veterinarian's and include office visits provided once a month by each Vet, and preventive medications Services are paid for by AABY. Our goal is to help keep pet parenthood fun, easy and affordable. No senior should be forced to choose between an animal and its medical care. Call us for details (281) 358-4866.
